My Learning Goals

Description:

Today we looked through our reports from last year. We identified a next step (goal) for reading, writing and maths. Here are my goals:

Maths: subtract 2 digits minus 2 digits. E.g. 73-29

To achieve this goal I will: learn strategies in class like rounding and place value.

Reading: improve my understanding of the story.

To achieve this goal I will: talk about what I am reading. I will make predictions about what I think might happen.

Writing: use descriptive words in my writing.

To achieve this goal I will: use specific words e.g. Verbs-action-hitting, adjectives- describing words - black tennis racket, adverbs describe the action- hitting quickly.

We also looked at our STAR results.

• Word recognition I got 7 out of 10.
• Sentence comprehension I got 8 out of 10.
• Paragraph comprehension I got 8 out of 15.
• Vocabulary I got 7 out of 10.
